عن الكاتب

 -ولد عارف علوان عام 1941 في احدى قرى الاقطاعيين بجنوب العراق، لأب يعمل في قيادة شاحنات النقل الصغيرة وينحدر من عائلة فلاحية من وسط العراق (الكوت) و سُجّل في المدينة التي تنتمي إليها والدته (العمارة)، وأنهى دراسته الابتدائية والثانوية في (بغداد)، وعمل في الصحافة في فترات الاستقرار النسبي، ثم هاجر إلى لبنان (بيروت 1971) ومنها إلى المغرب (الرباط 1878) ثم إلى ايطاليا (روما 1980) وبعدها إلى إنكلترا (لندن 1990) حيث تفرّغ كليّاً للكتابة، ويقيم الآن في مدينة (ليدز) التابعة لمقاطعة يوركشير وسط إنكلترا.

 -كتب القصة القصيرة والمسرحية والرواية والمقالة.
